Gling Hunt

Gling is a Brisbane/Meanjin based performer who was born into a family of musicians and has over two decades performing experience. He’s performed and toured in various different acts around the country and worked in many areas of the industry, from original music to tribute show to film scoring.

Gling’s biggest passion lies in his his original music, which he’s been road testing around SE QL the last couple of years to very receptive audiences. His songs are based on his life experiences surrounding love and loss, which strikes a chord with his audiences, as let’s face it, it’s a universal topic. His debut single "Impenetrable Armour" is due to be released in 2025. Gling most recently showcased his original music at Goolwal Goolwa’s Golden Hour as part of BigSound and Neurum Creek Festival in 2024.  Two of his other projects have also been nominated as finalists in the 2025 QMAs.

On the film front, he’s been on the composing team for 2 full length feature documentaries, “Alick and Albert” which was an official selection at Cannes Film Festival, and Logie award winning “Incarceration Nation”.
